It's always a treat when a little poetic Victory comes our way. Well done, VP!

This is what classical poetry used to be.

With a post-modern edge:

"The masticated gravel between the teeth of the iron tracks"

When you write there is a switch thrown in my head from intellect to Motion Picture Mode where the words are instantly translated to Home Movies in the Mind.

Patrick, 1000 thanks for the wonderful comment. Can I use this as a pull quote? That’s kind of what I’m aspiring to be: a sort of neoclassical modern poet.

By all means.

However.... what we need is new language for the new niche.

Nouveau Niche.

Because on earlier poems I commented that you paint with words like the impressionist artists portray a rainy street in paris.

In the words of Bruce Lee: You have the Style of No Style.

(not really, I just like channeling the Ghost of Bruce).

I guess what I'm saying is that you are a polymath rennaissance man of words so invent your own name for what you do. Then get a good PR outfit to promote your style and then start seminars where you charge thousand of dollars to teach others how to rub two words together to start a fire.

Or not.

Keep writing.

Thanks so much for sharing all these examples of Klimt’s artwork. Aside from the Kiss and maybe a couple of others, I’ve never seen so many of his paintings. That was really cool.

Aren't you a squirrel's sunflower? There's too many... so here's three pages!

I don't know his work so I was expecting Paris during a rain with streetlamps and cars' lights.

The birches came up and my mind had an identity crisis on which was the positive and which was the negative space. It took getting out of crossed eyes to see the forest for the leaves.

I don't know if I need to see a chiropractor or a psychologist after that!

I'm afraid to see what else you have in store for us.

beautiful poem.. The rebirth of life in the face of death.. They only live one season, these blossoms, but they live it in full glory!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I’m doing my best to celebrate these life affirming moments when so many others are busy doling out death or draconian rules about all kinds of nonsense. Loved your sunflower post by the way as well as your art. Thanks for creating something beautiful to counteract all the ugly art that’s being foisted on us.

I couldn't find a way to do a private message and Substack has been having technical obstructions, so I'm posting here with a friend's stack:

https://karafree.substack.com/p/heres-to-a-new-generation-of-magnificent

I love her paintings and I've often posted on your Stack that your words are like paintings.

So in the off chance you get inspired to write an: Ode To a Sun Flower or something, I just wanted to introduce you two.
