"Knowing what I know now." Heavy weighs the artistic crown of tormented knowledge. That said, art is perhaps our last hope, despite the many bananas taped to the wall, despite the post modern dancer who regurgitates amongst dirty linens, despite AI generating damn near everything we see, even here! as art is what might, just might! still save us. Let us hope.

I look at it this way, VP. If a piece of art, any piece of art can change the way a person looks at the world, responds to their neighbor, talks to the their lover or spouse or children, then the world is changed. Little victories but they add up.

We gotta take 'em when we can get 'em. I'm just planting poetic seeds into the mind gardens of the world. How they sprout is up to that mysterious force called Life.

Powerful words and images …like you I have no idea what our words will do to change the dehumanising insanity. I hold sacred the belief that is making a difference , one that will probably not be seen in my life time, but it will come. ❤️‍🩹We must keep going , creating and appreciating joy and beauty in all their forms. Thanks You

...and never think for a minute that you are powerless to change a heart. One person at a time ❤️

I've been feeling that a lot lately, because I think "poetry" or what's passing for poetry these days (if you look at IG, ugh!) has been ruined, reduced to a poetato chip.

I'm so glad to be sharing this platform where I can share these freely to people with the capacity to feel and appreciate the same.

One person at a time. 3> (Sorry, can't do heart emojis on the desktop version, lol). But yes, that's the goal. If I changed just one heart out of all the 8 billion hearts beating on this planet with one of my poems, I'd feel that I've truly accomplished something.

I read this twice and could feel every part of your being within the walls of your cry for this man. For yourself.

To be an individual, to think freely, to be felt, goes against the ruling class and always will. I can feel you looking around on the train seeing the faces of those who stare into space. Conformed.

Pasolini's murder was an extreme crime of hate, and of great fear, which spoke highly of who he was and his threat to the soulless principalities that historically go after the individuals, artists and preachers first,.....while claiming their work on their walls, and scriptures/poems at their ceremonies. Macabre at best. Pure evil at worst.

So glad you have this space to express yourself without fear. ox

Deborah, I'm ever so grateful. I can't thank you enough for 1) reading the poem 2x and 2) your insightful comments.

You got it, you really got it...

May I use these comments on other platforms to show the effect this poem has on others? I'm also in the process of putting my 1st book together for sale which will include this poem, and once it's done, I want to give you a copy of it. Thank you again! ox

I'm so glad your spirit was lifted! and of course you can use my comments. Congratulations on getting a book together! That is quite an accomplishment ✨

So many people in history and presently have been silenced forever by governments. My youngest son has finished a 700 page book on JFK's assassination. He's convinced our government did it. I will never look at our government as a beacon of hope, a light on a hill, ever again.

Thank you again Deborah. It really really meant a lot. So far the book is an idea; I've got the title already and it's going to be a doozy! Just collecting the poems that are going to go in it.

Wow, talk about accomplishments - your son's book! At this point, with all the information that's out there on JFK, your son's book I'm sure is going to put this all in a new light (and I believe his assumption btw, especially JFK's speech about secret societies). I totally agree with all your sentiments on guber mentis (aka Mind Control in Latin). They're two wings of the same bird of prey, the owl that silently pounces on our freedoms.

Oh I meant he "read" a very big novel on JFK! Although he's a very cool person and works with the mentally ill in a safe-house in San Francisco. A thinker.

Getting everything together is a huge part of a book. You'll do it! If anything we are leaving pieces of ourselves behind for our family and that is worth everything to me. ox

Gripping... powerful... achingly honest. Wow, great stuff.

And this is so banal, and not worthy of even being on the comments page, but... but thank you for understanding punctuation! ^_^

Yes, one person at a time is and can be a vessel to many many more. As a professional photographer of over 20 years, I know what you mean by IG. Everything meaningful, creative, has been reduced to an impatient swipe. The public has been trained to fawn over crap. It's sad because they miss out on the slow, contemplative of art, poetry, etc. Creating from your heart, your soul is far more rewarding in the end. Don't ever sell-out. oxox

(we'd be the original starving artists on the streets of Paris 😑)

Sell out, moi? Jamais! Seriously? That would be the day. The alphabetters are doing a great job of ruining art and turning it into meaningless consumables. Are your photographs anywhere where I can see them? Do you have any favorite photographers that inspire you? I think your photos would sell more than my poems in Paris lol. Although, in Paris, they do appreciate art more than here (at least they used to - unless that was a fairy tale they sold us...) Have a good evening - VP

Nevvva!!!

Funny you asked! I just wrote a piece about my love of black & white (I think I linked my website at the end) - and I spoke of some of the greats I admired! Thank you for asking! 🙏🏻 I'm cheering you on! We're blessed to be here to express 🙏🏻😘✨

Oh I knew that about him but it was the revelation of his last film; that’s what drove it home for me and why he was really taken out. I would strongly suggest you DO NOT watch that film. It may scar you in a way that may be harmful. But you’re an adult; it’s ultimately your choice.

Susan. Thanks so much for your comment and encouragement. We’re planting seeds; the seeds are our words. We plant them into humanity’s psyche and see if any take root and what grows out of that. All I know at this point is this psychopathy has to end somehow. New creations have to replace the ones from the perverted culture Industry. Thanks again so very much. 🙏🙏🙏

Wow. Was not expecting that. But then I never do. ✨

Hey SF. What were you not expecting? Something about the poem?

The subject matter, the story you told. Did not know that about Pasolini, now I must watch that film.
