This speaks precisely to the new (to me) thought I've had lately; just imagine, if instead of all this dread, turmoil, malevolence, destruction, grinding poverty and depression.... was turned on its head. But you've said it so very much better!!!

Gosh Joanie, giving you a virtual hug for your kind comment. If we all did this together in a somewhat coordinated fashion, it would work. This power has already worked for me many times for different situations (it's still an art I'm working on, mind you). But I can tell you for a fact that it works. If/when I do my poetry book, would you mind if I used this for a pull quote?

And I'm going to bookmark this poem to read on a daily basis, to keep its sentiment fresh in my mind :^)

This is brilliant, and I'm not a big fan of poetry. Will subscribe for more such as this, though!

Wow, thanks for the backup at Caitlin.

Wow for this post. You know where we're headed.

It took me a while, cause I couldn't see why people would wake up. But con-vid made me see how slow they are. That's why the machine is going to fail and be replaced with an upgrade 😂

The revolution will not be televised!

Rob, thank you again for your kind engagement! Poetry is my weapon of choice. I thought I was already awake, but after the last three years, they've really showed their hand. Given their evil intentions, to try and eliminate Life, it will all backfire on them. We have the power of the Universal Mind with us to turn this ship around. Peace and blessings to you!

It was my great pleasure to read your poem. I couldn't think of anything else to say before lunch!

Now I have have the time to read again I would like to add that I especially liked the use of your imagination to inspire the nation. They say it is the thought that counts: the power of thinking is that is leads to good action if used wisely.

As we exist in the mind of God, or as a young man said to me God is Mind, having every thought captured by him is a Good Idea.

As I follow Christ I treasure God's word. For example:

The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Anyway, I have taken your poem to heart and the various nations you list. I feel a post myself coming on for my WordPress blog.

In any event I say Christ for all nations!

Dear Baldmichael, I'm so sorry for not noticing your kind comments sooner and the delay in responding to them. Thank you so very much and I'm glad that you found it inspiring. And may the Christ within all of us awaken so that we take the necessary actions to transform this world into the paradise it was originally meant to be.

Please don't worry, I have the same trouble myself! Sometimes things get missed anyway and I have found myself replying to some one months later.

Well I have been feeling in debt and I wrote this for you!

(The Poet's Duty)

What is our duty if not to dream? What is our dream if not to honor?

What is to honor if not to love? And what is to love if not to live?

-

If by dreaming, new worlds I shall conceive.

In new worlds, I shall believe.

-

If in the past I once dreamed.

In the future, I will find myself in dreams.

-

And if in dreams I shall exist.

Then in reality I won't breathe.

-

Because if in reality I shall one day live.

Then much better than my dreams it will be.

-

If through dreams I shall love.

Therefore in dreams, I shall be loved.

Thiago, what can I say? That was truly incredible, so deeply moving. It has that "eternal quality" about it (I don't know how else to articulate it). It could have been written in ancient Greece, or 1000 years into the future. You really channeled something from the soul here...

This is something to be recited and remembered for all time. It should be etched in stone or marble somewhere.

Just a quick clarification question: When you say you're feeling "in debt" did you mean "owing money" or "grateful, i.e. indebted?" Because if the former, then I hope your situation changes for the better; if the latter, then I'm humbled that something I wrote had such an effect on someone.

Thank you again for your amazing poem, and your interest in my work. Our duty is to put poetry in its rightful place among the arts as the expression of eternal truths and expansion of consciousness.

All the best to you!

VP

Thank you so so much for such inspiring words!

It is quite an honor to hear this from you and to think that I was able to grasp such atemporality in these verses. It was indeed conceived in an honest moment of the ticking present and perhaps it was the greek hellenism in me talking.

The debt was one of catharsis as much as it was an act of enlistment, a feeling of gratitude and action coming from your writing. Your words (from this and other publications) not only feel honest and inventive but feel as if you are lifting the burden of existence while uplifting the onus of the soul. A truly inquisitive, aesthetic, and undeniable call to arms for the imagiNation army.

We shall keep on rescuing poetry from oblivion and putting it in its rightful place. This journey knows no ending, All the Bravehearts out there yearn to be found but first we need to make them remember that the present is in dire need of the sentinels of eternity.

Respectfully.

Thi.

It's never too late for a good revision, here's a subtle refresh on our previous creation VP!

(The Poet's Duty V2)

What is our duty if not to dream? What is our dream if not to honor?

What is to honor if not to love? And what is to love if not to live?

-

If by dreaming, new worlds I shall conceive.

In new worlds, I shall believe.

-

If in the past I once dreamed.

In our past dreams you ought to find me.

-

And if in dreams I shall exist.

Then this reality I refuse to breathe.

-

Because if in reality I shall one day live.

Then much better than my dreams it ought to be.

-

Henceforth.

-

If through dreams I shall love.

Therefore only in dreams, I shall be loved.

Perfect. I've been trying to come up with a more accurate word than "mainstream" to describe the abomination.
