Dearest Friends, Followers, Subscribers and Poetry Fans, I hope this email finds you well and that you’re navigating Life’s currents as smoothly as possible. Although I’m not as prolific as other poets on Substack, I have numerous poems in various stages of development. Following is a list of them, each with a corresponding excerpt: Poet 007: License to Quill All the spy shows/films from the 60s fed my childlike soul; I Spy, The Man from Uncle, Mission Impossible, Secret Agent Man, James Bond, The Avengers, and lest we forget – The Prisoner! The groovy music, the dangerous situations in which the hero always came out on top to rule the day, casually flinging a dry sarcastic line to ice his victorious cupcake. (cut to: the Poet enters the frame, where the barrel of a pen is superimposed over his silhouette. Caught in the crosshairs, the Poet whips out his pen and point it at us. A bang! Blue ink seeps over the screen…) Poet 007 reporting for duty! Dante, Blake, Ovid and Cummings, P.C. I love going downtown to my new day job at the firm of Dante, Ovid, Blake and Cummings, P.C. (not private company, not politically correct, but Poetic Creators). It feels silly calling it a “job” because it refers to the Biblical character Job who was tortured by a psychopathic warlord space alien primitive folks mislabeled “God” and whose name really means persecution. Victory Palace for President We’ve been victimized by the mind control mafia! So don’t be too harsh on yourselves, my fellow American’ts. Please know this is not the crap you’ll hear on my campaign trail. I’ll leave trails of poetic truths, noble thoughts and lofty ambitions in my wake to wake up your hearts and minds and make up your own hearts and minds as to whether I’m a suitable CANdidate. Ameri(can’t) Ameri (can’t) face the nation b/c it’s an Obamanation of what its valused to be why? b/c Ameri (cannot) face the ruiNation that’s it’s ass is grass mowed over by left-wheeled lawn mowers. Hollywould Hollywon’t make movies that • inspire our imaginations • have sincere emotions • teach us morality • teach us how to be human beings • connect us to something beyond because Hollywould rather traumatize us with tales of orphanized children, supernatural demonic forces (when there are no angelic ones), and kill ten teenagers in a haunted house with gory glory. Hey Poets! Hey Poets, It’s all on us now! While you’re sifting through the ashes of your emo-shun-all meltdowns, can I trouble you to look at what’s going on in our world today? I’m serious. Do you really want to extol the virtues of a Hunger Games society with your Vogon poetry? 20/20 in 2020 People of the future, remember me. I lived at the time when people “died suddenly”. They lined up at facilities across the world to take their magic potion like people in bread lines during the Great Depression, thinking they were doing their duty to save Humanity and once injected, they’d inevitably fall over one by one causing an even Greater Depression the world has ever known. and several others… I know full well that attention spans are shrunk to an all-time low, and that information is consumed literally at the speed of thought. There's always a lingering pressure to "create content" (God, I hate that word!) The aforesaid poems are longer form, so you’ll probably never see them on Instagram (waa waa), and that’s probably just as well. As a valued member of my poetry community, your thoughts and feelings about my work are incredibly important to me, so consider this a quick “check in” to see if my Substack page resonates with you and serves as a source of inspiration and reflection. With this said, I would love to get your feedback on a few things: 1. What do you enjoy most about my particular brand of poetry? Are there specific themes, styles, or topics that resonate with you? 2. Is there anything you’d like to see more of? Whether it’s certain types of poems, or even behind-the-scenes insights into my creative process, your suggestions are welcome! 3. Do you have a favorite poem or poems? What are they and how did they impact you? I truly value your constructive feedback and hope you’d be willing to share it. Your input will not only help shape the future of my poetry page but also foster a deeper connection within this community of like-minded souls, i.e. those that are truly aware of what's going on in our world spiritually and geopolitically. If time allows, please reply to this email with your thoughts, or feel free to share any other ideas you have in mind. Also, if you know anyone in your network that might be inspired by my work (despite never reading poetry), please feel free to share this with them. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I’m excited to hear from you and to continue creating poetry that speaks to your soul. With deepest gratitude, VP

I was pressed for time so I only skimmed your Stack then did my stuff. Then I Stacked a kind of Showup (not a Showdown) of a poetry jam between you and me because you said that your poems are 'unfinished'. Then I read this full stack. Each of the poems are islands connected by your Sea of Consciousness but they can stand alone with no additions/embellishments. Given that the new generation has no attention span and that even at their present length they are not even suited for The Gram, I think they are finished works.
Vogon poetry of humans in bread lines: brilliant!
Check out my post and hopefully we can meet fully loaded at opposite ends of the ranch.
I can feel my pen-finger twitchin' pardner.
Love your clever neologisms and vivid imagery evoked!
Blessings!
