This is going to be part of an ongoing series of origin stories (which I’ll keep as brief as possible) about what inspired me to write a particular poem, and perhaps to provide a few notes on certain things to provide context and/or reference. So, let’s kick this one off with the above poem, which if you haven’t read it, is posted here…
I’m sure you know what’s been going on within the past 3 years to nations all over the world with the pandemic. So many heroic folks on Substack played important parts in inspiring this poem like
to name just a few. I don’t know what your particular take on all this is, but I’m sure you can tell what mine is from this poem.Anyway, I just got so bloody sick and tired of all the insanely draconian “mandates” being handed down to everyone, threats of job-loss, coercive techniques, fear-mongering campaigns foisted on the world’s population, and the same narratives puked out by every news media organization on Earth, that I said, “You know what? F-you and all your bullsh!t totalitarianism! The only Nation I belong to is the ImagiNation because all you other nations suck, and here’s why!”
I wanted to use/find as many words as possible ending in –nation to support my position and it wasn’t difficult. The “Oh say can you see...?” (for those who don’t know) is the opening line of the American National Anthem, used to underscore the reality of where all nations seemed to be herding humanity towards.
“For all their pompous circus dance...” is a play on Pomp and Circumstance, the famous song by Edward Elgar which is typically played at high school or graduation ceremonies, or other formal political ceremonies; and I’m calling out every nation’s ceremonies as just that. “Look at how magnificent we are while we ruin your lives.” Yeah, no thanks.
The only thing that matters to me (and should matter to you, too) is our Imagination, because a war’s being waged on us and their main target IS our imaginations first and foremost. The imagination is a lot bigger than we think it is because it’s responsible for Everything Everywhere. It truly is a form of magic that the bad guys/girls don’t want us to know about and realize because they want to monopolize it for themselves, use it against us and blot ours out by drowning us in their fear-based narratives and ridiculous forms of enter(tr)ainment.
At the part of the poem where I ask the reader to perform some magic of their own, I’m going full Neville Goddard on this. For those not familiar with this man, he was one of the most incredible mystics of the 20th Century, a true champion of the power of Imagination. To him, it IS God, the creative power given/bestowed upon us. According to Neville in his lecture “Live in the End “ (his best, in my opinion) once you discover that God/Christ is within all of us, and it’s your “wonderful human imagination” then everything is possible to everyone in the world. Isn’t that a mind-blowing concept? Doesn’t that thought alone fill you with possibilities?
This is why I encourage you to start imagining these things. Not just once, but as much as possible, and feeling as though it were true (especially before sleeping. Why? I don’t know, but it’s more powerful). By doing this, you’re fighting back against the world’s dark overlords with an incredible spiritual power, on the highest level playing field alongside (and along with) an invisible army that’s ready to do your bidding.
Thank you kindly for your time and if you’d like to see more poetic origin stories please leave a comment below.
All the best,

Yes Neville Goddard's message has played a huge role in my successes in this life. Imagination is The Creator within giving us the DESIRE to experience the miracles of Life and LIVING and creating. AND WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE GLORY AND JOY that was supposed to be our inheritance! THE IMAGINATION NATION is a WONDERFUL POEM bringing such JOY to my heart when I read it!!!
VP,
this is an amazing take on the battleground that is our mind, and how the self-designated elite have structured our worlds to drain us of the genius and divinity that is creativity. we've been instructed for much of our lives to question nothing and do as we're told, while enlightenment results in questioning everything. thank you for sharing, this is a much needed take!
