Fountain of Youth

As the van takes a corner turn before
I'm dropped off at the train station
there's a living poetic polaroid...

3 young kids and their dog behind an 
iron fence stare at a gushing fountain.

Their innocence: defying the horrors 
blowing up the dark side of the world.

Their possibilities: stirring Spring's 
white fragrant blossoms around their feet.

Their energies: the ecstatic waterspray
singing to the fountains within them.

My inner child leaps out of the van
to join them 
in the whirlywind
the waterspray 
and 
the frozen moment of eternal youth.
